Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sales and Marketing Teams are responsible for the sales and marketing of TE's products, systems or services including sales oriented activities, market development and communications.

Role Definition

The Senior Global Account Manager facilitates the strategic planning process for CRO sales and defines a strategy that meets the organization's pipeline growth objectives by strengthening customer relationships. This role will help define strategy and direct a large operation of a sales function for diverse markets.

Responsibilities

• Developing, managing, and guiding sales activities for a specific market, product, or strategy, overseeing employees while monitoring progress against individual goals.

• Setting long-term and short-term sales targets, making and optimizing sales tactics and plans.

• Keeping abreast with the industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to develop strategies that keep the company ahead of the competition.

• Collaborating with the leadership and other internal stakeholders in designing and proposing policies and programs to achieve maximum sales volume potential for products or services.

Job Overview

This position will lead an experienced sales team and drive the incremental growth objectives for our key segments in the CRO.In addition, it is responsible for establishing a strategic business plan and actions to grow with these customers. It will also identify areas of opportunity, and work with Clinical, Regulatory and Usability teams to develop new business lines to grow the business.

It will partner with the other Global Commercial (NPD and OPS) and MKT Heads of TE-IVD and the CRO Business Managers - Global Head of CRO Business and Operations Director - to define/drive the Sales Strategy across all portfolios for the CRO team and support growing opportunities for Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closure, meeting and exceeding assigned sales targets.

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships: Establish and nurture strategic relationships with clients and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and explore partnership opportunities.

• Represent TE IVD Solutions at industry conferences and events, showcasing our offerings and expertise. Represent the organization: Act as a brand ambassador for the organization at industry conferences and other relevant events, promoting our services and building awareness and credibility in the clinical research community.

• Maintain accurate records using Sales Force and ensure client satisfaction through dedicated relationship management.

• Lead business development efforts: Develop a strategic plan to manage and grow a database of prospects and activities. Develop and execute business development plans, including identifying potential clients, attending conferences and industry events as needed, and leveraging existing networks to generate leads and close deals.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities for the business and provide strategic recommendations.

• Prepare and present proposals: Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs and requirements of potential clients, effectively articulating the value proposition and differentiators of our clinical research services.

• Track and report on business development activities: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, monitor progress against targets, and generate regular reports to senior management on business development activities, pipeline, and performance metrics.

• Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of business development strategies and contracts.

• Employ strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to propose and implement risk mitigations.

• Perform all other duties that may be requested or assigned.

What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field with 12+ years’ related experience in business development or sales within the clinical research industry, and a focus on biotech or CROs is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Must have strong knowledge of clinical research processes and industry trends, as well as demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $160,200 - $240,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
