We are seeking the immediate hire of a Quality Control Site Representative and Code Inspector .

The person in the role will work under the direction of the Senior Program Manager. The Inspector will work on a contract basis to perform technical inspections to enforce compliance with building codes, regulations, and ordinances for new home construction projects in Pocono Pines, PA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Visits project job sites, on an as-needed basis.

  • Verifies completion of punch lists.

  • Writes and updates field reports.

  • Reports potential removal or repair of defective or unsuitable work to the team.

  • Issues Certificates of Occupancy and/or Certificates of Completions.

  • Performs other tasks as directed by our Client, in accordance with the contract documents.

  • Reviews, observes, and verifies that construction conforms to the scope of work identified by the Owner.

  • Observes and verifies that construction conforms to all applicable codes and guidelines, including the International Building/Residential, Mechanical, and Electrical codes.

Requirements:

We will consider any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this job.

  • Minimum education required: High school graduate or GED. An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in construction or design-related field is preferred (not required).

  • ICC Residential Inspector Certification required

  • Valid PA Driver's license.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, 3 years in construction administration or superintendent/construction manager role

  • Experience in managing construction projects as an architect, superintendent, project manager, or similar role, specifically during the construction administration phase of a project.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires heavy local travel (90%-100%) within Pocono Pines, PA and adjacent areas.

  • Person will work out of the Construction Job Site Trailer or Owner’s office building.

  • Role requires on-site observation, which will include potential climbing of stairs, accessing roofs, entering mechanical rooms, etc.

  • The projects are regulated by OSHA.
