Job#: 2034851Job Description:Apex is searching for a Sanitation Technician to join a Growing Food company in the Southern New Jersey area.Job Summary:The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all machinery, equipment and facilities to establish a clean environment for producing and packaging quality products.Essential Functions:Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of plant machinery, equipment and facilitiesPerforms plant sanitation in accordance with the plant Master Sanitation Schedule including overhead cleaning of pipes, ceilings, duct work, conduit, support structures and HVAC systemsPerforms all related operations and tasks needed for completing sanitation of scheduled equipment including jogging, disassembly and reassembly of equipmentUtilizes powered cleaning equipment that may include powered lifts, scissors lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors and various non-mechanized equipmentResponsible for mixing, handling and verification various chemical concentratesCompletes all assigned daily reports at the end of each shift and delivers to Sanitation CoordinatorComplies with established safety practices and performs all tasks in a safe manner while promoting a safe work environmentCommitted to providing a safe food productWorks within all regulatory requirementsAbility to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirementsPerform all other related duties as requiredJob Qualifications:Good written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to communicate appropriately with supervisors and co-workers (verbal and simple written reports are required)Average Mathematical SkillsSkills and/or ability to gain knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry standard cleaning proceduresBasic knowledge of the function and operation of sanitation equipmentSkills and/or ability to gain knowledge of the basic functions of all production equipmentAttention to detail and a sense of urgency in matters of food safety requiredMust be able to freely move around entire facilityAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work 2nd shiftEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
