Field Service Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking to hire two Mechanic/Millwrights: one for the shop and one for the field. This is to support the growing business and offer our customers the highest quality and customer service. Our company custom fabricates a large variety of products, from railings and duct work to catwalks/crossovers and stainless steel countertops and sinks. Our company diversity is a significant part of our success; the ideal individual will work on a variety of projects that change day-to-day. This person will travel throughout NJ to service the maintenance needs of a wide range of clients, from manufacturing and food processing to hospitals and institutions.

Skills

  • 5 years minimum experience in an industrial and/or institutional mechanical maintenance position

  • Strong tool experience (wrenches, drills, core drill)

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical specifications

  • Experience in field welding, pipe fitting, and setting & aligning of equipment

  • Experience in rigging (a plus)

  • Experience in Sanitary Welding or orbital welding (TIG, MIG, STICK) - only welding <20% of the time

  • Experience with duct work and ventilation systems (a plus)

  • Experience with fencing (chain link, ornamental)

  • Mainly working in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Skills

  • Flexible problem solver

  • Ability to work on projects that vary in duration from several weeks to a single day

Work Environment

1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime is required based on client needs.
