Housekeeping Attendant

Your Journey

  • Cleaning and resetting guest bedroom and bathroom areas

  • Changing linens, making beds, organizing collateral on tables, straightening furniture, dusting, and vacuuming of rooms, emptying trash

  • Removing trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and removing trash and linen from cleaning carts and housekeeping closets

  • Reporting any linen shortages or other discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor

  • Maintaining each storage and distribution area ensuring they are clean and organized

  • Distributing linen and supplies to designated areas in the hotel in accordance with established par levels in each area

  • Delivering miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and delivering linen and supplies to guest floors

  • Deliver ice to guestrooms upon request

  • Making up and delivering roll-a-way beds and baby cribs

  • Maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors; sweeping and washing floors, vacuuming carpet, washing walls, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning elevators and tracks

  • Distribute linen and supplies to designated areas in the hotel in accordance with established par levels in each area

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the guest corridors

  • Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures, clean ashtrays, elevators, and tracks

  • Inspecting all equipment and ensuring it is in proper working condition

  • Maintain a fully stocked inventory of all mini-bar items; ordering the necessary product items when par levels are low if made available via guestrooms

  • Ensure no expired items are in guest rooms and record upcoming expirations appropriately as needed

  • Ensuring that all spill or hazardous areas are cleared immediately to ensure a safe environment; assisting in removing guest tables and trays from guest rooms.

  • Clean and defrost mini-bars regularly and consistently when and if part of the guest experience

  • Receives various orders either non-consumable or Food & Beverage

  • Compares packing lists and invoices (when available) with Purchase Orders

  • Receives all incoming package deliveries from UPS, FedEx, DHL, Golden State Overnight, etc.

  • Distribute and deliver items to appropriate departments and areas

  • Being courteous and helpful to guests, including reporting any guest requests or preferences

  • Promoting a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction and being comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requests

  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms and public areas

  • 8-hour workday, 40-hour workweek

  • Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments

  • Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needs

Must Haves

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

  • Basic communication skills

  • Hotel experience, a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time

  • Ability to lift, move and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks

  • Occasionally required to climb or balance

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, and bending
