SUMMARY

Grounds Maintenance associates are responsible for daily maintenance and upkeep of the grounds at Natirar.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties include, but are not limited to:• Operate machinery including hand-held types of equipment, such as; weed-eaters, self-propelled walk mowers, back pack blowers, push blowers, edger’s, rakes, and shovels• Operate utility carts• Maintain sprinkler heads and valve boxes• Daily cleanup of equipment and facility• Spray weed killer• Groom native plants• Maintain a safe working environment during all job assignments• Report any landscape conditions and issues• Assist with the winter operations which include snow removal, grooming, and other property-related tasks as directed • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent education• General labor experience preferred• Ability to operate heavy equipment and/or light motorized equipment• Knowledge of Natirar maintenance practices• Ability to follow oral and written directions• Able to lift 50 pounds• Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain)• Able to work 7 days a week, weekends, holidays• Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training programs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
