1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who is curious about the big picture, is a critical thinker with a strong desire for learning and possesses the ability to determine root cause? In this role you will be able to assist in the execution of risk-based audits, identify value-added recommendations to help strengthen processes and internal controls, and prepare and analyze financial results and performance reports. We’re looking for someone who is analytical, detail oriented, and is able to clearly communicate ideas to team members.

What You’ll Do

  1. Analyze P&L line items to identify cost drivers and support business management and forecasting. This includes sales, discounts, labor, variable and fixed non-labor costs, and depreciation.

  2. Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement.

  3. Investigate discrepancies and anomalies to identify underlying issues.

  4. Document internal control weaknesses and test results.

  5. Map business processes with flowcharts and narratives, identifying controls and systems.

  6. Help prepare and publish monthly reports and analytics for the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current student pursing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (Data analytics minor or focus is a plus).

  • Knowledge of financial and cost accounting to prepare and present financial metrics and analytics.

  • Knowledge of business and analytic systems such as ERP systems, financial consolidation systems, and Power BI analytics tools.

  • Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships.

Travel

  • No travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
