Personal Requirements:

The Loan Processor has a vital role within the Loan Department and therefore should have outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.

They must possess good interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to deal effectively with customers and coworkers.

This person should have strong personal attributes such as a high energy level, positive outlook and integrity in all relations with customers and the community.

A professional appearance in both grooming and dress, adhering to the Company dress code will be required.

Competencies Required:

Must be proficient with 10 key touch, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly banking software applications.

This position requires a minimum of two years experience in the loan operations area or an equivalent combination of related work experience and education.

Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet the loan department needs; they must demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.

Excellent Customer Service Skills required with effective problem-solving abilities; ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers and co-workers.

Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines for compliance issues related to job duties.

Must be self-motivated, goal oriented and a team player.

Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload; ability to multi-task in a fast-pace work environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Position:

Performs a variety of duties related to the maintenance of loan files and documentation.

Type loans and modifications, which includes following current regulations to assure proper documentation is included for various types of loans.

Accurately prepare related loan documents, book loans, upload loans to computer system, properly fund loans, update customer Identification and Indicative data.

Audit loan files, verify required documents were received and included in the loan file.

Verifies that substantial insurance is maintained on collateral.

Update existing loan files as directed by Loan Officers or Department Supervisor.

Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding loans

Prepares correspondence to customers and performs other tasks requested by supervisors as they relate to the Bank and its functions.
