Loan Officer / Ashville Branch

Skills Required:

Experience as a lending officer with knowledge and experience in the overall lending function. Must be familiar with the banks policies and procedures in addition to regulations governing consumer lending and credit. Should be analytical and good judge of personal character. Must possess excellent supervisory, communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.

Job Summary:

Responsible for development of loan volume. Solicit loan applications and interviews with prospective loan applicants, their financial needs, and their overall credit worthiness. Approves or rejects loan applications within loans authority. Cross sells other services of the bank.

Primary Duties:

1.

Interviews loan applicants financial and related data in order to determine the general credit-worthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request.

2.

Establish and negotiate, when necessary, their terms under which credit will be extended including the costs repayment method and schedule, and collateral requirements.

3.

Presents as necessary loan requests to loan committee.

4.

Monitor delinquency status of loans and assist with collection of efforts, as necessary.

5.

May supervise branch staff.

6.

Participates in the banks business development and marketing efforts, implements related programs.
