Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Sr. Business Office Customer Service Representative- Bus Ofc - Cust Svc & Collect in Pearland, Texas

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of Customer Service Supervisor and Team Lead, ensures the efficient operation and completion of activities on the Customer Service Team. Employee provides critical support to team members and serves as a technical resource, trainer, auditor, and assumes responsibility for escalated supervisor calls. Conducts research to resolve more complex billing inquiries and general concerns received by the Customer Service Team. Receives and tracks all work received by the team and ensures appropriate and prompt resolution. Responds to all electronic medical record billing questions and correspondence as needed in writing.

Salary Range: $45,657 - $56,413 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program

Preferred: Associates Degree, Billing and Coding Certification, or CPC

Experience

Required: 1 yr. as a KSC Customer Service Representative meeting or exceeding standards for all job duties

Preferred: Epic Resolute, Call Center Management Systems

License(s)

Special Skills

Required: Knowledge of insurance billing and KSC contracted health plans’ rules, regulations and medical

policies.

Proven ability to apply knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 and CPT coding.

Proven ability to navigate and use a variety of software applications and on-line resources.

Analytical skills to rapidly evaluate and resolve more complex patient billing questions.

Ability to identify billing errors resulting from system adjudication problems.

Ability to work independently and display leadership qualities among peers and other departmental

personnel.
