Direct Support Professionals

Forgotten Angels and its affiliated organizations have been serving the IDD population in the ICF and HCS programs for over 35 years. We value our relationships and foster a family environment.

Direct Support Professionals monitor, interact and assist residents with and help achieve daily needs, skills and goals. Provide programmatic supports to the Intermediate Care Facilities program (ICF) and the Home and Community Based Services program (HCS) by supervising and instructing persons served. The DSP monitors for the health and safety of the persons served and completes required documents daily. Ensures persons served receive medications as prescribed; provides appropriate supervision of the persons served as indicated by their program plans; prepares/ assists in ensuring the persons served consume healthy and nutritious meals as indicated by their plan requirement and provide needed/required assistance in completing daily hygiene activities.

Paid orientation and training provided, including CPR and SAMA certification training.

Requirements - Current valid Texas driver's license. High School Diploma or Equivalent Basic computer skills

Background requirements: Candidates with convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

No required experience; willing to train.

Full-Time - Varied

Pay is Hourly rate, depends on experience.
