U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief FALLOUT RADIOLOGICAL CONTROLS (FRC) PROGRAM MANAGER in Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii
Summary You will serve as a FRC PROGRAM MANAGER in the Surface Ship Operations Code 103 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will be the primary manager responsible to develop, implement and manage a FRC program to enable safe, effective and efficient execution of ship maintenance and repair operations at PHNSY and IMF. You will implement and execute the long-term plan culminating in the final release of the ship from FRC based on NAVSEA 04N guidelines. You will establish processes and procedure to maintain radiation exposure and contamination controls. You will establish a pre-planning process to screen ship repair and maintenance work notifications (WN) to identify work requiring FRC. You will establish the requirements for Technical Work Documents (TWD) to define, specify and integrate engineered controls and radiological surveys. You will establish and implement comprehensive personnel training program and required to execute ship repair and maintenance under FRC. You will determine, recruit, and establish staff and manage workforce needed to execute the program. You will establish processes and facilities to control, handle, store and transfer Fallout radiological Waste items and material for processing and/or disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements. You will manage the execution of OSHA, environmental, and related RADCON programs as they affect the program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, implementing or managing ship maintenance, repair, or modernization with radiation safety project or program to establish radiological controls (e.g. exposure maintenance, contamination controls, waste management), processes, procedures, manpower, equipment or facilities for the safety and effective execution of the operations.
