Performs all billing clerical functions within the department including but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance for billing and claims accuracy, inputting information accurately into the billing system.

  • Communicate with insurance providers to resolve discrepancies in claims, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

  • Update and manage databases, ensuring organized, accurate, and accessible financial records.

  • Use Excel and other spreadsheet functions to analyze billing data and compile reports.

  • Assist with clerical tasks, including filing, scanning, and preparing documents.

  • Support team collaboration to address and resolve data entry discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies on data confidentiality and management.

Performs additional clerical functions within the department including but not limited to:

  • Support payroll by enrolling new employees in the time clock system and troubleshooting clock issues.

  • Deposit checks with banking institutions, maintaining accurate records and reports of all deposits.

  • Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.

  • Research and compile information for departmental reports and presentations.

  • Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines to meet departmental needs.

  • Maintain both digital and physical filing systems for easy retrieval of information.

  • Provide administrative support to supervisory and executive staff on finance and clerical tasks.

  • Inputting and updating information in databases and spreadsheets.

  • Assisting and supporting supervisory and executive staff with assigned finance or clerical work

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred.

  • Basic experience with clerical, data entry, or finance support work.

  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); adaptable to new software.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and reporting skills.

Technology savvy with a willingness to learn and proficient in new software programs.
