HR Analytics Specialist, Peachtree City, Georgia

When you join our team as a HR Analytics Specialist , you will will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decisions across the organization. In this strategic role you will collaborate with leaders to design and implement our transformative people analytics roadmap, shifting our approach from reactive to predictive people analytics. Your tasks will range from creating new tools using programming languages (data engineering), designing impactful visualizations using tools like Tableau (data modeling), supporting data integrations from our HR technology stack to our Enterprise Data Warehouse, and managing and supporting large data sets.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of HR Systems & Processes and working closely with our IT Data & Analytics teams, we are seeking a creative and data-savvy professional to develop and deliver data governance and quality guidelines. Your work will empower Interfor’s organizational decisions regarding talent, compensation, development, and workforce planning.

This dynamic role requires in-office attendance at our Regional Office at Peachtree City, GA three days a week and flexibility to accommodate the diverse time zones of our locations (PST, CST, EST, AST) will be essential for success.

What You’ll Do

Data Governance:

  • Establish consistent formulas, calculations, and source data to establish measurable and actionable Key Performance Indicators.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and drive continuous improvement in data quality.

  • Create user-friendly query and reporting templates, tools, and resources for HR system users.

  • Participate in data governance activities related to information management, records management, and information security.

  • Diagnose and establish audits to identify and address data integrity issues within HR systems.

  • Investigate data issues discovered during analytics/reporting requests and initiate corrective action.

  • Provide guidance and recommendations on process improvements to enhance data quality.

Descriptive and Diagnostic Analytics:

  • Partner with internal and external customers to deliver reporting and analytics services and develop and deploy self-service analytics tools to enable users to independently access and analyze data.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive data visualizations in Tableau to illustrate key HR metrics and trends.

  • Design, construct, and maintain innovative solutions (dashboards, databases, reports) that provide relevant workforce metrics for effective decision-making and planning at all business levels.

  • Develop and implement integrations between HR systems, collaborating with IT and HR teams to ensure seamless data flow, enhance accuracy, and maintain consistent reporting standards.

  • Conduct data analysis for forecasting and modeling to support strategic HR planning.

  • Assist in creating presentations that effectively communicate analysis results and insights to senior management.

  • Identify opportunities to automate data processes and reporting, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.

  • Train users on data integration processes and Tableau visualization techniques to promote self-sufficiency and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Data Processes:

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on existing and proposed human resource programs, including analyzing compensation trends, employee engagement, and other key drivers for departmental stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

  • Build and continuously improve tools for data collection, automation, and standardization of current processes and reports to enhance their effectiveness and user adoption.

  • Follow up on HR initiatives (succession planning, talent profiles, employee engagement, stay factors), analyze results, conduct workforce demographic analysis, and communicate trends to stakeholders.

  • Develop business cases and project plans for initiatives, providing tracking support, updating status reports, and maintaining risk and issue logs.

  • Develop and conduct training sessions to enhance data literacy and proficiency with analytics tools.

  • Develop and prepare standard/ad-hoc reports and extracts from HR systems to meet statutory requirements (pay equity, affirmative action, etc.), collective agreement obligations, and business needs.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required to support HR initiatives with accurate and timely data insights.

  • Perform cross-functional and other duties as assigned and/or requested.

What You Offer

  • University degree in an analytical field of study (e.g. Human Resources, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Science or other relevant fields).

  • 2+ years of work experience directly related to quantitative analysis with proven results.

  • Expert Business Intelligence reporting and Excel skills with Power Query.

  • Intermediate working knowledge of human resource data, statistical modelling, predictive modelling, data visualization and storytelling, and decision-making science.

  • Experience with SQL or python, Tableau product suite, and PowerBI required, and experience with enterprise data warehouse design (fact & dimensional modelling) is a strong asset but not required.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro & Workforce Management, and Cornerstone OnDemand is a strong asset but not required.

  • English/French bilingual skills would be considered a strong asset.

  • Demonstrates unwavering professionalism and integrity, maintaining strict confidentiality and building trust in all interactions and data handling.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and data presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently.

  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people both internally and externally while working on different projects/initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to identify data/reporting discrepancies through data mining and quantitative analysis and provide/implement recommended solutions.

  • Fast learner with a high sense of urgency and welcomes challenges.

  • Superior attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Independent thinker, with the ability to clearly express and articulate ideas.
