Our Robert Half Mangement Resources team is seeking an aspiring accounting detail oriented to fill an Assistant Corporate Controller (remote) position with a large, manufacturing client. The ideal person will have real-world involvement applying GAAP or PCC alternatives in a growth-oriented environment; generating consolidated GAAP financial statements including disclosures; managing financial-close processes of the company’s reporting entities; and collaborating with the company’s third-party service providers.

Corporate Location: Peachtree City, GA

Contract to permanent:

Contract Rate: $55-60/hr. (based on experience; 30-day contract, but could be longer)

Permanent Salary Range: 120-150K (based on experience) - 30% bonus based on EBITA (payout Feb 2025)

Schedule: Remote; 8AM-5PM, M-F (90% remote - very limited onsite presence for meetings and/or training)

Skills You Bring: Practiced in risk-ranking balance sheet accounts/processes and related key controls. Practiced in guiding accounting and finance personnel through detail oriented standards. Experienced in inventory management. Experienced in fixed assets and appreciation schedules. Understands capital appropriations. Accomplished in periodic close and reporting processes. Experienced in ASC 842, Leases. Experienced managing external audits/examinations. Experienced with ERPs. (Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus; Oracle-like). Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office software, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP's, sum-ifs, pivot tables, text-to-columns, etc.). Experienced in SQL a plus. Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master’s degree a plus. Active CPA license preferred. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in public accounting. 8+ years of overall general accounting process/transaction experience. 4+ years of managing trained or licensed accountants.

Requirements What you will be doing: Standardizing or evaluating differences in applying GAAP standards and company accounting policies across reporting entities. Managing two Accounting Managers responsible for the trial balance activity the company and its Canadian operations. Providing guidance to accounting leadership of non-company integrated entities. Contributing to accurate, timely business results through active, cross-functional participation with operations, finance, and corporate teams. Reviewing priority and complex balance sheet account reconciliations/analyses. Generating consolidated GAAP financial statements, including compiling data for disclosures.
