Job Title: Warehouse Specialist Location: Pax River, MD

Job Description: As a Warehouse Specialist at Bear Den Technology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for performing a variety of warehousing duties, including but not limited to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. This role requires proficiency in operating hand or power trucks to move, lift, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against purchase orders or manifests.

  • Unload, unpack, and inspect goods for damage or defects, report discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.

  • Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient space utilization and easy accessibility.

  • Retrieve items from storage areas as requested by supervisors or other team members for order fulfillment or distribution.

  • Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to established procedures and standards.

  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or other transportation vehicles, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris as necessary.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks, and report any issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

  • Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.

  • Proficiency in operating hand or power trucks, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, adhering to proper lifting techniques and weight limits.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks, particularly in verifying inventory and order information.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
