Amentum Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) - C-26 Metroliner - Patuxent River in Patuxent River, Maryland

The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) serves as the focal point in the Contractor’s Program Office for all quality assurance activities. The individual shall be familiar with Navy Maintenance Management Processes and shall have worked other similar programs. Individual shall be familiar with the scope of this PWS and possess a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant (FAA A&P) License and current Inspection Authorization (IA). Individual shall have at least five years of experience as a quality assurance supervisor in an FAA FAR Part 145 Repair Station and three years FAR Par 91, 135 and/or 145 shops/facility management experience.

  • Perform scheduled audits & follow procedures on documenting failures and quality escapes.

  • Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines, internal policies and technical procedures to assure compliance.

  • Assist the Quality Manager in implementing and auditing processes and programs.

  • Ensure quality, environmental, health and safety standards comply with statutory requirements.

  • Enforce compliance of operational personnel, company requirements and governmental regulations.

  • Review operational reports to determine the requirements for increasing safety.

  • Provide leadership and knowledge to Quality department members and teams as necessary.

  • Maintain QA programs to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from management and coworkers.

  • Performs other duties, as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience, of which eight (8) shall be in maintaining complex, turbine powered, fixed-wing aircraft to include complex airframe modifications and five (5) years of the eight (8) must be with the C-26D or similar aircraft.

  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA A&P) Airframe and Powerplant Certification and current Inspection Authorization (IA) is required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a quality assurance supervisor in an FAA FAR Part 145 Repair Station and three years FAR Par 91, 135 and/or 145 shops/facility management experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US SECRET Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a US Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.

  • Minimum education requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
