Naval Air Systems Command PROGRAM MANAGER in Patuxent River, Maryland

Summary You will serve as the Level I Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Test Pilot School/Naval Postgraduate School (TPS/NPS) in the Program Executive Office (PMA226) for Tactical Aircraft Programs (PEO(T)). Your salary will be set in accordance with the established control points of this position which is $139,395 - $181,860. Responsibilities You will develop and implement policies, controls, and operating procedures for overall management of all aspects of the assigned programs during all phases of the life cycle. You will analyze needs and synthesizes requirements information necessary for development of specific objectives for assigned program initiatives and for planning. You will direct the development of comprehensive program plans to ensure fulfillment of technical, cost schedule and performance objectives. You will evaluate work performance of team members and provides inputs to Competency Leaders on performance of IPT members from competencies. You will participate in the interview process and provides the supervisor with recommendations on appointments, reassignments and promotions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Analyzing needs and synthesizing requirements information necessary for development of specific objectives for assigned program initiatives and for planning; (2) Directing the development of comprehensive program plans to ensure fulfillment of technical, cost, schedule, and performance objectives; (3) Serving as the central contact point within the program office for all matters concerning the program and establishing relationships both within the organization and with relevant external groups; (4) Evaluating all acquisition activities associated with assigned programs and assuring development of a management information system that provides accurate information concerning the status and progress of assigned programs; and (5) Exercising delegated managerial authority to direct, coordinate, and oversee work of team members and implementing goals and objectives of the program segment assigned to subordinates.
