Naval Air Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Patuxent River, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST / INDUSTRIAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR (IPC) in the COMMANDER FLEET READINESS CENTERS (COMFRC) Strategic Group. Responsibilities You will provide guidance and support to the PMA and IPTs in matters relating to Intermediate and Depot level maintenance capability planning, establishment, execution and performance. You will document the results of efforts in the Maintenance Plan to achieve readiness, ownership cost and logistics footprint objectives. You will coordinate with the PMA, IPTs, and Organic Depots for Intermediate and Depot level capability establishment ensuring all Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements are in place. You will coordinate, manage and report on aircraft Depot maintenance scheduling and management to support the fleet and TYCOM requirements You will utilize knowledge of the Industrial Source of Repair (ISOR) and Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) governing instructions and Core/Title 10 requirements in advising the PMA of statutory and regulatory requirements. You will advise the Product Support Manager (PSM) on prioritization and status of depot capability declaration. You will provide maintenance monitoring and analyses of FRC sites related to aircraft and component repair and coordinate between NAVSUP and the organic depot to ensure component throughput and Core requirements are met. You will coordinate with the organic repair site to disestablish capability at the end of service life. You will develop integrated logistical support (ILS) planning and supportability requirements for program documentation You will evaluate integrated logistical support (ILS) processes to improve execution of integrated logistics support and readiness You will brief officials and other agencies of integrated logistics support (ILS) operations, policies, and procedures. You will resolve integrated logistical support (ILS) problems by developing new approaches and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Plan, establish, and execute effective total life cycle design interface and maintenance planning tools and procedures for the program office Intermediate and Depot Repair Capability Establishment; 2) Evaluate and influence the most effective use of human and financial resources in fulfilling the goals of system/sub-system performance: 3) Apply theory, concepts, principles, and practices of systems engineering, system life cycle phases, and the documentation, analyses, and reviews associated with those phases; 4) Identify statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to performance of depot maintenance and repair in accordance with Title 10 and other statutory mandates 5) Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to create oral presentations and author written reports and other documentation as required. 6) Complete understanding of Title 10 statutes affecting managment and distribution of production workload. 7) Complete understanding of the Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) process.
