salary: $21 - $24 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders, diagrams, and assembly instructions to understand the components required for each PCB assembly.

  • Gather necessary components, including resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, connectors, and other electronic parts

  • Use soldering irons, soldering stations, and other soldering equipment to attach electronic components to PCBs.

  • Perform surface mount soldering techniques, which involve soldering small components directly onto the surface of the PCB

  • Inspect completed PCB assemblies visually and using magnification tools to ensure that components are soldered correctly

  • Follow industry standards, guidelines, and safety protocols for soldering and PCB assembly, such as those set by IPC guidelines
