General Summary:Manages a weekly maintenance schedule through a CMMS. Reviews work requests/orders for accuracy and clarity daily. Plans work through kitting of parts, creating accurate jobs plans, lining up resources. Works with Production/Sanitation to secure a weekly schedule. Distributes weekly scheduled PMs/Work Orders to maintenance mechanics.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Establish, maintain, and improve the maintenance planning and scheduling business flow process through the effective administration of a CMMS.

  2. Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems.

  3. Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, departmental performance, planning, and scheduled business flow process.

  4. Schedule maintenance work into production plan.

  5. Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks for production equipment based on OEM recommendations.

  6. Develop cost and time estimate of planned maintenance work.

  7. Review applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.

  8. Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and jobs records database.

  9. Continually improving planning, scheduling, data management, and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.

  10. Collaborate across departments to schedule manpower, resources, and asset availability for planned maintenance work.

  11. Perform any other related job that may be assigned from time to time.

     

Job Specifications

  1. High regard for safe work practices and procedures.

  2. High School diploma required.

  3. 3 years of working experience in maintenance planning is preferred

  4. Manufacturing and maintenance background which may include basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, controls systems, boilers, welding, pneumatics and hydraulics.

  5. Prior CMMS administration experience required.

  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  7. Strong computer including MS Excel and CMMS software and report writing skills.

  8. Ability to apply knowledge of standards, methods, and procedures to work situation.

  9. Strong project management skills to include organization, time management, attention to detail and fast paced environment.

  10. Ability to work independently and effective while being a team player.

  11. Willing to work extended hours to achieve tight deadlines.

     

Working Conditions

  1. Warehouse and production environment.

  2. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 0F to 110F.
