The Opportunity with McKinstry We are expanding our New Construction Mechanical division and are seeking an Account Executive with expertise in the Industrial market to join our team in Pasco, Washington. In this role, you will oversee large and complex industrial projects, setting strategies and goals for successful project execution. Key responsibilities include: Project Oversight & Team Leadership: Manage all project activities and resources, define team assignments, and serve as the primary contact for industrial clients throughout project implementation. Financial & Policy Management: Take financial responsibility for projects, ensure accurate reporting, uphold company policies, and maintain compliance with industrial guidelines. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination: Provide timely information to stakeholders, make decisions considering the impact on various departments, and ensure smooth cross-department coordination. Financial Operations: Facilitate timely invoice payments from industrial clients, oversee pre-construction budgets, manage client and subcontractor change orders, and conduct monthly project accounting reviews. Project Management: Ensure projects are completed on schedule, monitor the change issue log, and manage project timelines effectively. Staff Development: Select, coach, and manage staff, fostering positive relationships with field personnel and craft foremen. Sales & Client Support: Manage a portion of annual sales, provide support to industrial clients on project financials, and take ownership of assigned projects. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in project management within the construction. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera, Suretrak), and knowledge of SharePoint and industrial codes. Preferred Qualifications: CPM professional designations, experience in low voltage systems (HVAC Controls, Fire Alarm, Security), and basic estimating skills.
