Summary: Performs engineering activities related to production, testing, and trials. Reports directly to the Field Engineering Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities: Provides engineering decisions on the deck plate in coordination with the functional engineering group. Performs field engineering activities related to the production process. Provides detailed instructions to crafts regarding production activities. Produces field sketches and material lists. Drafts necessary changes or revisions for review by the Field Engineering Manager. Determines material needs related to changes/revisions, fitting/outfitting, and assesses the scope impact. Works with crafts to review fitting/outfitting modifications and address issues. Resolves production problems as they arise.

 Bachelor's degree in engineering with three or more years of experience in engineering related to the marine industry, with a focus on deck plate resolution. One or more years of drafting experience related to production, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
