This position is for an Electronic Tchnician with a company located in Pascagoula, MS.

Summary: The Electronics Tech installs and repairs wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all electronic systems aboard vessels and in the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities Include: Follows blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams. Ability to work from scaffolding, aerial platforms and lifts.

 May Install equipment such as connection boxes, control cabinets, equipment racks, mast antennas and instrument panels. Use of hand tools, rulers and hand power/pneumatic tools is required. Following specifications is mandatory.

 Connects circuits to internal communications, external communications, alarm and monitoring, radar, sonar, fire control, networking and other electronic equipment. Tests electrical characteristics, such as voltage, resistance, network testing, RF VSWR line sweeps, fiber optic transmission tests and point to point testing using meters and various other pieces of test equipment.

Requirement and Qualifications Include: Knowledge of blueprints, drawings and schematics. Military connector fabrication experience, epoxy fiber optic termination and testing experience, RF termination and testing experience, Network Cat-5/6 termination and testing experience preferred. Prior experience, as an electrician/electronics tech is required with experience in an industrial or shipyard environment preferred. Formal training in one or more of the following disciplines preferred; connector fabrication, epoxy fiber termination, RF VSWR line sweep or networking infrastructure.
