TEKsystems Timekeeper Admin in Pasadena, Texas

Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to assist in with timekeeping for our 24/7 operations department. Duties for the role include updating, monitoring and submitting time for hourly employees, monitoring the weekly crew schedules for absences or gaps in coverage, contacting individuals to fill overtime roles to address coverage gaps.

Daily tasks will be computer based mostly utilizing Microsoft Office Suite of tools. The selected candidate will be encouraged to find ways to apply automation to the process to assist in improving efficiency. Our goal is simplifying the data entry portion of timekeeping for the Operations department, improve efficiency of line leaders to perform high value tasks, and reduce clerical errors within the payroll process.

Responsibilities:

• Perform time entry and coding for hourly workforce using Microsoft Excel based timesheets.

• Review and validate time entry data each week as part of Pasadena Payroll Process.

• Serve as liaison and main point of contact for timekeeping and payroll questions for hourly workforce.

• Perform field visits, when necessary, to meet with hourly employees to discuss time related issues.

• Monitor and identify employee vacation and absence time. Once identified, perform call-out process for backfill of position.

• Develop and communicate time and absence reports for management

• Develop weekly operator shift schedule in accordance with Refinery Shift Team Leader

• Monitor and record employee overtime tracking sheet.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in large volume timekeeping

• Experience timekeeping for a rotating 24hr workforce.

• High School Diploma with suitable work experience.

• Associate degree in business, accounting, or related field p referred

This will be an onsite contract of 12 months and if eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
