Job Summary and Qualifications

The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) is responsible for performing treatment programs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Expectations Ethics and Compliance a. All employees will be held accountable for behaviors displayed relative to the values articulated in the Mission and Values Statement. “Will act with absolute honest, integrity and fairness in the way we conduct our business and the way we live our lives.” b. All employees will be held accountable for attending training regarding the Code of Conduct program at least annually.

  2. LPTA is responsible for attending continuing education opportunities provided by the hospital, department, or outside sources.

  3. LPTA is responsible for maintaining effective communication with all team members, family, patient, and other medical staff as indicated. Attendance and participation at team meetings and department meetings is required to discuss the patient's condition, progression, plans and goals. LPTA is responsible for consulting with physicians, Physical Therapists, and other team members as indicated regarding requests and / or suggestions.

  4. LPTA is responsible for performing the treatment program with each assigned patient as developed by a Physical Therapist.

  5. LPTA is to complete all documentation within the specified timeframe.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) in the State of Texas

  • Graduate of an accredited PTA program

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in sports medicine preferred; new grads will be considered

  • Bilingual - Eng/Spanish speaking preferred
