Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Pasadena, California

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by adhering to established accounting principles and procedures.

  • Process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to verify pricing, quantities, and terms.

  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system for payment processing.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues and inquiries.

  • Prepare and process electronic payments (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, checks) in accordance with payment terms.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.

  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.

  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Finance Manager.

    Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting role preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
