Lead Software Engineer (Java| Springboot| Microservices)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with solid background in Java to join our Cognizant Digital Engineering Practice. Besides Java, the ideal candidate will have a strong experience with Apache Camel, Spring Batch, and REST, along with extensive experience in microservices, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices. As a lead, will be responsible for the migration of Revenue DataMart legacy mainframe systems to a modern microservice architecture on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). Will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust solutions that align with our company's goals and enhance our network operations.

Primary Location: Parsippany - NJ USA (hybrid)

Responsibilities

* Lead the migration of Revenue DataMart legacy mainframe systems to a modern microservice architecture on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)

* Lead the transformation of mainframe batch applications to microservices architecture using OCP

* Design, develop, and implement microservices using Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, and JPA

* Integrate various systems using Apache Camel and ensure smooth data flow with Spring Batch.

* Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support microservices communication.

* Implement and run CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GIT.

* Drive the project both onshore and offshore, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration among team members

Qualifications

* Required Skills: Java + Springboot + Microservice

1. Java, Apache Camel, Spring Batch, Rest

2. Microservices - Spring boot, Kubernetes, Docker, JPA

3. Cloud - OCP or any Cloud with Kubernetes background (preferably OCP experience)

4. DevOps - Jenkins, GIT

5. Awk/Shell Scripting

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
