Document Specialist Sr

The Document Specialist Senior job assists with document preparation, production, and storage archival. While working independently under general supervision, this job performs document control by reviewing and revising documents prior to them being approved for use and sent to clients. Additionally, the job will be responsible for maintaining the company's document library as well as working with the company's Information Technology (IT) to implement new document generation technology. This job will perform monthly audits to ensure transactions are being documented in accordance with company approvals.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Drafts contractual amendments based on the guidelines provided in policy.

  • Reviews third party transaction documents for single contract use.

  • Using tools provided by Legal, reviews and approves third party transaction documents for ongoing program use.

  • Consult with all functional areas of the business when necessary to approve a document or contract for programmatic uses.

  • Organizes and oversees legal files and materials so that they are easily accessed and retrieved without compromising the confidentiality or privacy of the information they contain.

  • Proofreads documents and processes for accuracy and completeness.

  • Responsible for maintaining the document library and ensuring all required approvals are obtained and archived accordingly.

  • Responsible for performing monthly document audits to confirm the documentation was executed in accordance to company policy.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field and/or Paralegal Certificate

  • 2+ years of experience as a paralegal doing transactional work in a law firm or leasing business or 2+ years’ experience in an equipment leasing business that required legal drafting or a Law Degree Strong verbal and written communication skills; work history in related field required.

  • Experience or familiar with ABBYY software, highly preferred

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid roles require working in the office four days per week with one flexible day to work remotely.
