Nurse Assistant Clinical Instructor
Location: Park City, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: Monday – Saturday, as needed.
Pay / Hourly: $31.20 - $36.76, DOE
SUMMARY
As a Nurse Assistant Clinical Instructor, you will supervise a small group of Clinical Nursing Assistant students in a clinical setting (long term care, transitional care, and assisted living). You will be a key player in ensuring that students have an appropriate clinical experience, can demonstrate competency and professionalism, and are job-ready. This position requires travel to various clinical sites in the area including Wasatch, North Summit, and South Summit.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Acts under the general supervision of the Senior Program Coordinator and Clinical Coordinator
Cooperates with the Clinical Coordinator in scheduling clinical experiences for students.
Supervises small groups, no more than 12 Certified Nursing Assistant students per Clinical Instructor (administration of each clinical site will dictate the number of students) in the clinical setting (long term care, transitional care, and assisted living).
The clinical instructor must always remain on the premises and supervise students in the health care setting.
The clinical instructor must observe and supervise the students at all times during the scheduled clinical.
The clinical instructor cannot be absent at any time during the scheduled clinical.

Appropriate clinical experience for each student
Procedures
Return demonstrations
Competency
Students' progress
Student assignments
*May substitute for the classroom instructor as needed for a short period of time after approval from UNAR.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
The Clinical Instructor must be a licensed nurse with a current, active Utah License to Practice; who is in good standing with the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.
Must have at least two years of nursing experience; at least one year must be as a licensed nurse in long-term care facility services or caring for the elderly or the chronically ill of any age.
Must have completed a UNAR-approved "Train the Trainer" program and demonstrate competence or experience supervising nursing assistants.
A minimum of five clinical shifts are required for each instructor per semester.
