BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey is seeking a full-time board-certified or residency-trained Emergency & Critical Care Specialist to work at our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.

We are a small specialty/referral and 24/7 ER hospital with happy emergency doctors, minimal closures due to staffing, and low wait times. We are looking for at least two criticalists to build a service to support the ER, help with complicated surgical cases, and assist internal medicine with critical aspects of patient care. The critical care service sees primary emergencies, takes direct transfers from local vets, and oversees in-hospital patients on the service (toxicities, trauma, vent cases, etc). Current equipment includes in-house laboratory (Idexx ProCyte, Catalyst, Coag, Sedivue, SNAP reader, VetStat, VCM thromboelastography, I-Stat, Siemens blood gas/co-oximetry), digital radiography, ER ultrasound unit, Snyder oxygen cages, high-flow nasal oxygen unit, ventilator, 64-slice CT, digital cytology, telemetry, and fluoroscopy, and we can add your wish list to this.

Guess what else? We have a well-established blood bank!!!

Our other hospital services include internal medicine, surgery, medical oncology, and dentistry, and telemedicine radiology is available. Your support team includes one VTS in ECC and a ton of experienced and wonderful licensed technicians and dedicated assistants. BluePearl provides structured leveling and frequent educational sessions and workshops for nurses and ER doctors. We encourage RECOVER certification and hold regular training in CPR for all our Associates. If you have an interest in learning ultrasound, endoscopy, or dialysis/plasmapharesis, we can also support you in this.
