Overview
    Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the medical information call center
  • Medical response document (MRD) creation and update
  • Oversight of the Medical Information Cloud
  • Oversight of MRD/document storage and archival in Veeva
  • Assisting with promotional review committee activity (PRC)
  • Serve as back-up medical PMRC lead for all items when manager is away
  • Leads integration activities related to document storage and acquisition
  • Serve in a supporting and guiding role to 6th year PharmD rotation students and PharmD summer intern
Responsibilities
  • Assist in Managing medical information call center vendor to ensure proper responding of medical inquiries, intake of product quality complaint, and reporting of adverse event
  • Assist medical information call center vendor in answering unsolicited medical inquiries, when needed
  • Create MRDs for unsolicited inquiries
  • Update approved MRDs when relevant new literature, trial data, etc. becomes available
  • Product training for new vendors and internal teams, as needed
  • Manage Medical Information Cloud (MIC) and Veeva to ensure all platforms are working accordingly and integrating properly
  • Manage the storage and archiving of MRDs in Veeva
  • Collaborate with managed service providers for purposes of enhancing system functions and resolving issues with medical information platforms
  • Conduct/assist with medical review for promotional materials and participate in cross-functional promotional review committee meetings (PMRC), as needed, to present and discuss medical comments
  • Support, as needed, other medical affairs and commercial teams
  • Support the medical information booth at medical conferences
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for purposes of enhancing medical information platforms
  • Collaborate with the IT department to report and rectify system issues
  • Manage and fulfill literature requests for internal colleagues
  • Assist with providing educational instruction and guidance to 6th year PharmD rotation students and summer intern
  • Ensuring that documents are compliantly handled and stored
  • Follow all applicable policies and procedures related to medical affairs
Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Advanced Degree: Pharm D, MD, or Advanced Degree in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner or a health care field from an accredited college or university
  • Industry and/or clinical experience in the fields of epilepsy and/or CNS/Neurology is a plus, but not required.

Experience:

  • Previous externship(s)/internship(s) in a related discipline in the Pharmaceutical field is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in Medical Information is a plus
