A thriving construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage invoicing, collections, and payments for their projects. In this role, you’ll take charge of the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection while operating in alignment with the unique requirements of the construction industry. Key Responsibilities:

• Generate, review, and distribute invoices for construction projects, ensuring adherence to contract requirements.

• Post and apply customer payments, monitor aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances to meet cash flow goals.

• Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and verify payment-related documentation.

• Manage lien waivers, compliance documents, and retainage tracking when applicable.

• Prepare monthly AR reports and participate in meetings to provide updates on collections and cash flow performance.

• Maintain detailed customer and project accounts in accounting systems.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide exceptional support while adhering to company policies and procedures.

  Requirements

• 2+ years of accounts receivable or billing experience, preferably within the construction industry.

• Familiarity with construction-related accounting processes, including lien waivers and retainage.

• Proficiency in accounting software (such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Viewpoint) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• High school diploma required; an associate degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
