Project Lead, Strategy & Operations - Kohler Ventures

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto, CA or New York City, NY

Kohler Ventures seeks a Project Lead to help coordinate activities within and between project teams to align with the strategy and timelines of broader organizational goals. Representative activities might include project coordination, delegation, reporting & escalation, vendor management, and project implementation.

The candidate should have a desire to work in an environment like a start-up, where hierarchy is flattened, speed is paramount, innovative ideas win the day, and priorities may suddenly shift.

This position will report directly to the Operations Lead, Kohler Ventures.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage high impact, critical projects across the organization working with teams across Software, Hardware, Design, Manufacturing, and Advanced R&D

  • Define project plans, monitor execution and provide comprehensive reports to leadership and upper management

  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors

  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome project risks to enable project completion on time and within budget

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top institution, preferably in an engineering discipline

  • 3+ years of experience working either in consulting, project management, and/or operations at a technology company

  • Preferred case team or previous work experience in start-up operations and new product development

  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills

  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership/responsibility, and ability to drive work forward without day-to-day managerial support

  • Ambitious, willing to work in a fast-paced environment and looking to learn how to start and scale a startup

  • Strong experience in project management tools, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Travel requirements: 10-25%, domestic with some international if needed

  • Availability to work outside of standard business hours as needed to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The approved base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $111,150. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 24.5%-30% of base salary for the San Francisco Bay area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $114,400 - $144,495 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
