E-Commerce Manager - Kohler Ventures

Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto, CA or New York City, NY

We are seeking an E-Commerce Manager to manage and optimize our online sales and support outstanding customer experience. This role requires a data-driven mindset and a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices. You will work closely with product, customer success, and marketing teams to ensure that our e-commerce platform delivers an outstanding shopping experience, aligning with our brand values. This is an individual contributor position reporting to Executive Director - Head of Business, Kohler Ventures.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a leading e-commerce, digital first sales strategy

  • Execute on the e-commerce strategy to achieve sales targets and growth objectives

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our online store, including product listings and inventory management.

  • Optimize the user experience (UX) on our website to improve conversion rates, customer retention, and overall satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with internal partners and external agencies to implement digital marketing campaigns.

  • Analyze website performance metrics, sales data, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Monitor the integration of e-commerce platforms and third-party tools (payments gateways) and escalate any performance concerns to the software team

  • Coordinate with stakeholders in operations to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.

  • Stay current with e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve the online shopping experience.

  • Develop and manage the e-commerce budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

  • Reports to Commercial & Growth Lead, Kohler Ventures

  • Works closely with other members of the Kohler Ventures Commercial and dev teams and select external agencies.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce management, preferably in the wellness and tech industries

  • Proven track record of driving online sales growth and improving e-commerce KPIs

  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms and digital marketing strategies

  • Experience with web analytics tools

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Previous experience working in a wellness or tech startup is a plus

  • Experience with UX/UI principles and website design is a plus

  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive work forward

  • Travel requirement: 10%

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The approved base salary range for this position is $101,600 - $128,300. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 24.5%-30% of base salary for the San Francisco Bay area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $132,080 - $166,790 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
