We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Growth Lead to spearhead our revenue generation and market expansion efforts. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to establish product market fit, drive growth, optimize demand generation, devise testing plans, analyze and learn across platforms. You will lead a small team that is responsible for e-commerce, digital subscriptions, and our social media presence.

Specific Responsibilities

Growth

  • Develop and implement data-driven growth strategies that align with Kohler Ventures’ vision and business objectives.

  • Define growth strategies to achieve product market fit and a scalable business model

  • Be responsible for achieving and improving key business metrics such as active users, active subscriptions, unit sales, customer retention, cost of customer acquisition, lifetime value.

  • Own the ecommerce and digital subscription monetization strategy

  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to drive revenue growth.

Market analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, challenges and opportunities in our space.

  • Adapt go-to-market strategies in light of this analysis, suggesting alternate routes and improvements.

  • Monitor market dynamics and adjust pricing strategies to optimize profitability and competitiveness.

Customer Acquisition & Retention

  • Lead customer acquisition efforts across multiple channels, incl. social & select traditional media.

  • Focus on maximizing organic customer acquisition vs. paid media spend

  • Guide and oversee work of subscription & e-commerce leads to design and execute initiatives for hardware and subscription revenue

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Utilize data analytics to track key growth metrics, identify insights and make informed decisions.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor growth performance and trends.

  • Continuously iterate on growth strategies based on data insights and market feedback.

  • Reports to Head of Business, Kohler Ventures.

  • Manages direct reports, including an E-Commerce lead, a Subscription lead and a Social Media lead.

  • Works closely with other members of the Kohler Ventures Business team. Collaborates closely with Customer Service, Product, Management.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in digital growth marketing, e-commerce revenue, and digital subscriptions in a D2C business model.

  • Proven track record of establishing product-market fit and driving significant revenue growth and market expansion in e-commerce and digital subscriptions preferably in a consumer tech startup preferred.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and digital customer acquisition channels.

  • Outstanding analytical skills and mindset, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.

  • Demonstrated success in managing and scaling teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive work forward.

  • Travel requirement: Up to 20%

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The approved base salary range for this position is $124,450 - $158,550 The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 24.5%-30% of base salary for the San Francisco Bay area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $161,785 - $206,115 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
