Job Title: A&P Mechanic w/ Inspection Authorization (IA)

Company Overview:

A well-established non-profit flying club and flight school with a 50-year history is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA) to join its maintenance team. The organization operates as a 501(c)(7) non-profit, governed by a seven-member board to ensure diversity in decision-making and a collaborative environment.

Job Overview:

The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for repairing, inspecting, and maintaining a fleet of 50 general aviation aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. This role requires strong general aviation (GA) experience (10+ years), with a focus on aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GA aircraft

  • Inspect and assess structural, mechanical, and avionics components

  • Diagnose, repair, and replace aircraft parts using hand tools, diagnostic devices, and mechanical equipment

  • Maintain aircraft logs and assist with maintenance scheduling

  • Order parts and ensure proper inventory management

  • Provide customer service and communication with aircraft owners and club members

  • Assist with fuel truck operations and train in Ramp Associate duties

Aircraft Types:

  • Cessna: 152, 162, 172, 182

  • Piper

  • Diamond: DA40, DA42

  • Cirrus: SR20, SR22

  • American Champion

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 10+ years of GA experience as an A&P Mechanic

  • 2+ years of experience with Inspection Authorization (IA)

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License

  • Inspection Authorization (IA) License

  • High School Diploma or GED

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM start time (flexible)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Rate: $50/hr - $55/hr

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
