We are looking for a Sr. Reliability Engineer to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Palmyra, MO.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing reliability support to the site by implementing and driving reliability programs and providing guidance and detail for repair, maintenance and inspection activities. You will use tools such as RBI (Risk Based Inspections), FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) and other reliability-based maintenance engineering principles and practices.

As a Sr. Reliability Engineer, you create chemistry by...

  • Ensuring that all reliability-related activities are compliant with the company Responsible Care Management System and all statutory regulations, and that relevant asset management systems, procedures, andstandards are followed to maintain compliance at all times.

  • Appling appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimizing costs, and improving Asset Effectiveness (i.e. Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM/Criticality Analysis, RCFA, etc.)

  • Maintaining site programs for Mechanical Integrity, such as for Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers and Piping Inspections, besides Relief Devices and Flame Arrestors.

  • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for proactive identification and resolution of reliability issues, including inspection reports.

  • Supporting capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of capital projects in accordance with plant design requirements , as well as regulatory and BASF standards, utilizing your general understanding of industrial maintenance procedures, including work planning, preventive maintenance, and repair parts acquisition.

  • Designing maintenance strategies, procedures, inspection plans and methods.

If you...

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

  • Have a bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years’ experience within a manufacturing or engineering role with technical knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical equipment; OR have a master’s degree and 6 or more years’ experience within a manufacturing or engineering role with technical knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical equipment.

  • Have strong troubleshooting and diagnosis capability within operations and maintenance teams.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills.

  • Have ability to develop and maintain metrics to measure reliability and efficiency of equipment, also applying digital tools (e.g. Power BI).

  • Possess knowledge of Reliability Management tools, maintenance strategies, inspection strategies, Bad Actor Program, RCFA required

  • Knowledge of SAP-PM, FMEA, RBI, RBM preferred
