Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for either a Maintenance Mechanic 2 or a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be on site in Palmdale, CA.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable working in a professional environment, and be able to collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and management.

Basic Qualifications for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 :

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of facilities or maintenance experience

  • Flexibility to occasionally work off shifts and weekends when required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

  • Ability to learn CNC machinery equipment

  • Ability to support a 4/10 work schedule (Monday - Thursday, Day Shift)

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of facilities or maintenance experience

  • Flexibility to occasionally work off shifts and weekends when required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

  • Ability to learn CNC machinery equipment

  • Ability to support a 4/10 work schedule (Monday - Thursday, Day Shift)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working on computers – Maximo experience

  • Hands-on Maintenance experience with Mechanical Systems

  • Hands-on experience working on CNC’s Mills, Water Jets, Paint booths, Ovens and types of Manufacturing Equipment

  • Machine Geometry, CNC Machine Repair and related industrial equipment, and/or Advanced Mechanical Knowledge of Production Machinery Production machine equipment

  • Welding experience

  • Hands-on experience with Generators and UPS’s

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Active, In scope DoD Secret or SCI clearance

Salary Range: $53,000 - $88,300

Salary Range 2: $63,900 - $104,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
