Amergis ASL Interpreter in Palm Springs, California

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for an ASL Interpreter to support in a school setting for a school district in Desert Sands, CA!

Position: ASL Interpreter

Setting/Modality: Schools

Shift: M-F (anywhere from 7am-4pm)

Pay rate: $30-40 an hour depending on experience

Duration of assignment: on-going assignments and/or per diem

Roles and duties:

  • ASL interpreters translate spoken language into sign language and sign language into spoken language for students, teachers, and other staff. They do this in a variety of settings, such as classrooms, assemblies, and counseling sessions

  • Data documentation

  • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements*:

  • RID Certification, EIPA 4.0, ESSE-I/R 4.0, NAD/ACCI IV; Cued Language: TECUnit, EIPA:CS

    • Additional Comments: *There is a waiver for which school districts can apply.
  • Experience working with students preferred but not required
