Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee the L3Harris Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and manage daily security operations throughout Brevard County. This person is an experienced professional who has experience in supervising people, processes and technology in a control room environment, including shift-based team leadership, strategic program oversight, effective communication (writing, speaking and presenting) and policy and procedure development, as well as project management. Additionally, this role will include supporting the 24/7 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), utilizing technologies such as access control, CCTV, fire alarm monitoring systems and intrusion detection systems. The GSOC Supervisor plays a vital role in emergency management, and coordinating responses of various agencies, departments, and stakeholders.

Essential Functions: • Supervise a team of GSOC Operators on multiple shifts supporting 24/7, 365 days a year operation.• Oversee the daily operations of the GSOC. This includes but is not limited to the following: ensuring the GSOC team is aware of daily activities/schedule, addressing scheduling concerns, approving reports, and briefing leadership on incidents.• Develop, administer and audit security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified information.• Conduct training and exercises as necessary for GSOC operators to improve on GSOC protocols, operator proficiency and readiness. • Demonstrate expertise developing guidance procedures, review processes and workflows to create efficiencies. • Liaise, notify, assist, and direct external emergency personnel and internal resources as necessary.• Prepare and maintain continuity books and procedures for multiple security functions.• Assist the Security Operations team with generating and presenting security related material as needed.• Responsible for monitoring and operating security systems including intrusion detection, access control, video management system, environmental monitoring, fire alarm systems and communications systems.• Possess or develop an in-depth technical expertise of these security systems to act as a subject matter expert to management, stakeholders and staff. • Manage and coordinate responses to access control, fire, intrusion, and environmental alarms.• Initiate and coordinate responses with emergency responders, internal stakeholders, law enforcement, contract security force, and security leadership during an emergency or incident.• Manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls, to include handling radio dispatch, phone, and email.• Act as a liaison between L3Harris, contractors, and external vendors, including security guard force and journey management provider.• Create accurate and timely incident reports, escalating as appropriate and necessary.• This position requires schedule flexibility, to include occasional shift work. Candidate must be able to work all shifts; 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.• Lead and mentor GSOC staff, fostering a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.• Capture operation's metrics accurately and ensure they are reflective of the operational performance.• Conduct employee performance reviews at regular intervals to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with L3Harris policies.Qualifications:• DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills:• Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and data entry software.• Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.• Capable of lifting items over 25 lbs.• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.• Experience in DoD Collateral security environments.• Familiarity with SAP and SCI security environments.• Self-sufficient with the ability to work with minimal supervision.• Able to perform effectively under pressure and stressful conditions.• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.• Adaptable with sound judgment and the ability to multitask efficiently.
