Job Description:

This requisition is looking to fill a Deputy Program Manager vacancy on Responsive Space programs. In this role, the individual will assist the Program Director in all phases of all programs from inception through completion as well as drive program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. The individual will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance, participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes, and assist in the coordination and preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Additionally, the individual will monitor adherence to master plans and schedules including the program milestone payment plan.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure program execution within compliance with specifications, performance requirements, schedules, cost commitments, and internal policies and procedures

• Communicate within and outside of the organization to include customers and vendors with a focus on change management and cross-functional collaboration

• Communicate with leadership regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area

• Implement strategic goals established by leadership and establishes operational plans for job area with short-term impact on results

• Provide input into new processes, standards, and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results

• Responsible for program finances including solid background in Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

• Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes including preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract

• Coordinate with chief engineer and functional managers to ensure proper resources are available in a timely manner to execute

Qualifications:

• Must Have an Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience Education and years of experience (refer to Career Framework)

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Strong management skills

• Experience with Earned Value reporting and tracking

• Ability to work effectively as the primary customer point of contact

• Ability to interface internally and externally at all levels including senior management

• Proven track record as a team leader with a proactive approach to Program Management

• Willingness, ability, and aptitude to take ownership of a program with minimal oversight

• Ability and desire to make a positive impact on this business

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated capability to think strategically and execute tactically

• Demonstrated influencing skills

• Must be able to portray compelling reasons for change as Program/Project priorities dictate

• Outstanding communication (both verbally and written), negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills
