Position: Dental Assistant

Summary: The Dental Assistant is a member of the multi-disciplinary oral health care team with responsibility for patient exam preparation and assisting clinical staff.

Required Skills:

-Considerable knowledge and skill obtained through experience and/or training to be able to provide appropriate care to all clinic patients. -Advanced knowledge of dental record keeping practices including documentation in an electronic health/dental record. -Ability to exercise considerable judgment, to recognize problems outside of this role and refer appropriately. -Knowledge of dental and medical terminology -Physical capability to interact with others and perform mobility requirements of the position -Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer. -Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability to access the internet. -Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures, and priorities. -Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers. -Ability to communicate job-related information to individuals and small groups. -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; plan own work schedule effectively and multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting. -Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes-hectic environment with frequent interruptions. -Ability to concentrate in sometimes hectic and stressful settings. -Ability to read and understand written materials. -Must regard work as confidential. -Must have current driver's license, qualify for commercial vehicle insurance and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with organization's insurance agency. -Occasional travel required. -Ability to take on additional duties when necessary.

Wage: $18.50-20.05/hr

Benefits: Accrued sick leave and optional medical benefits provided by Express Employment during probationary period. Full benefits once hired on by company.

Schedule: Full time. Evaluation hire. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
