Olin Winchester LLC Quality Ballistics Technician 12633 in Oxford, Mississippi

This is a Quality Ballistics Technician position located in the Oxford, MS area. 

Salary: $19.18/hour with an increase to $21.40/hour after successful evaluations and completing 90 days.

Schedule: 2nd or 3rd shift

Job Summary:The Quality Ballistics Technician is responsible for testing and documenting results of various small caliber ammunition.

Responsibilities: Fire product and ensure it falls with the following specifications: Velocity and Pressure. Function and Casualty. Accuracy Matching. Bullet Integrity/Stripping. Hand load product in accordance with specifications. Make and shoot gelatin. Perform range maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning duties. Support the Winchester ISO 9001:2000 compliance initiatives.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Demonstrated job stability. Manufacturing experience preferred. Microsoft Office product knowledge. Ability to read a rule and calculate averages and standard deviations on a calculator. Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.  Ability and willingness to work weekends, including overtime. Prior experience in a relevant position; Winchester experience preferred.

Location-Specific Requirements: This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
