Description

Our client, a nationally recognized leader in its industry, is looking for a proficient Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. The Staff Accountant will be a critical component of the finance team and will be highly involved in all aspects of the company’s accounting functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules, ledgers, and other financial statements.

• Coordinate with team members to execute standard accounting tasks and close period accounts.

• Assist with variance analysis.

• Utilize Excel to perform data manipulation.

• Support with external and internal audits.

• Analyze and interpret financial data to recommend changes that will increase profitability.

• Participate in budget preparation.

  Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or a similar role.

• Proficiency in bank reconciliations.

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

• Proficiency in creating journal entries and posting them to the general ledger.

• Proficiency in performing balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Experience with Workday or similar financial management software.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
