Description: RMS Owego MTA is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to support our production manufacturing facility whose mission is to fabricate machined components needed for the success of our armed forces both at home and abroad. The Owego MTA is instrumental in the production of various components utilized on helicopters, radar systems, and electronic warfare systems that are vital to the success of our service men and women.

A Tool and Die maker at RMS Owego MTA will be responsible for the fabrication of precision fixturing to be used in the manufacture of CNC machined parts. The T&D maker will also build prototype and small production lots of machined parts using lathes, manual mills, CNC mills, and jig borers. The individual will be required to support rework of production parts and assemblies to include the removal and replacement of threaded inserts as well as possible modification of these parts.

Basic Qualifications:

Tool & Die Maker needs to be able to run manual grinding, milling and lathe machinery. Needs to be able to proficiently read blue prints, and build instructions. Is able to work within close tolerances working with different materials. Will need to communicate with multiple groups to satisfy customer requirements.

Desired Skills:

NC mill and lathe experience, writing programs and running the machines. Jib bore operation. Ability to cross-train in different disciplines.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $43,100 - $82,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $49,600 - $89,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
