Wenger Corporation is seeking a box Truck Driver to join our team in Owatonna, MN. As a Truck Driver you will contribute to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by transporting materials and finished products to and from Wenger plants or other facilities in nearby communities in a timely and safe manner according to established schedules. At a minimum, you'll need: Ability to operate a lift truck in a safe manner in material handling Must have a valid Minnesota Class A driver's license Drug and Alcohol-free driving record Valid lift truck license I'd be great if you also have: Current valid C.D.L. and medical exam Ability to operate a standard tractor/trailer rig with skill and safety What you will do on a typical day: Review work assignments, schedules, paperwork and other documentation/directions to help ensure the timeliest delivery of materials and finished products Transport materials and finished products according to established delivery schedules, with allowances for existing and predicted weather conditions Work is completed in a manner which ensures maximum freight hauled per load, minimum trips to the Twin Cities, and reliable parts support for changing shop priorities All traffic laws are observed, and driving is done in a safe, courteous manner at all times Perform in-plant shipping/receiving and material-handling duties when not on the road to include inspection of materials for quality and packing; documenting missing/returned items, damaged goods and shortages; and assisting in loading/unloading of the truck Assist in returns of pallets and dunnage from installation shipments Perform or ensure the performance of preventative and routine truck maintenance to minimize delay and unsafe conditions Represent Wenger with a positive and courteous image in all vendor contacts and relationships Help maintain the dock area in a clean, orderly condition to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents All safety policies and practices are consistently followed, in-plant or on-the-road Performs light assembly of Wenger products at customer site where and when necessary Helps remove dunnage from sites and loads securely back onto truck for return to Wenger Contributes to a cooperative work effort through performance of assigned accountabilities in a timely, dependable and safe manner at all times Benefit offerings include: Paid Time Off 9 Paid Holidays Generous Profit Sharing Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Spending Accounts - HSA, FSA, DCFSA Company Paid Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance 401k Retirement Plan with Company Match Company Paid Life Insurance Supplemental Life Insurance Onsite Fitness Center Employee Assistance Program Tuition Reimbursement Program Safety Shoe and Safety Glasses Reimbursement - Manufacturing Wenger Corporation's core purpose is to ENRICH LIVES BY ENABLING AND INSPIRING GREAT PERFORMANCES.
