Job Title MACHINIST | MON - FRI | 6A - 2:30P | $29.35 HR Plant/Location Owatonna, MN 55060 US (Primary) Job Type Hourly Category Manufacturing and Production Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Education High School Education/GED Job Accountabilities Position Overview: To fabricate, repair, or rebuild machinery and specialized parts as needed in the plant operations. Duties And Responsibilities: Machining and fabricating parts as requested. Performing inspections and rebuilds of trimmer spindle assemblies and cartridges. Maintaining accompanying repair parts inventory. Providing design improvements to machines and processes. Maintaining cleanliness of machine shop and trimmer room and practice appropriate safety procedures. Assist and support other production floor operations as required. Properly complete all administrative tasks, including log books, data entry and record keeping. Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Requirements High School Education/GED Must understand & demonstrate Machine Shop Safety Must possess team-oriented attitude & exercise team working skills daily with all. Must be a self-starter & able to expedite a project from design-completion. Must have good brainstorming skills to implement design improvements to machines & processes. Must have good mathematical skills, incl/trigonometry & geometry. Must be able to work with outside suppliers on design & supplying of project parts. Must have full understanding of manual lathes, bridgeports, surface grinders & related machine shop equipment to produce quality parts safely. Must understand & be able to use micrometers, calipers & indicators. Must be able to read & interpret Blue Prints. Travel 0 - 10% Crown is an equal opportunity employer.
