Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team based in Owatonna, Minnesota. As part of our Manufacturing team, the Accounting Clerk will play a key role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This position involves a combination of administrative duties and accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of packaging slips and vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Answer phones and assist with customer inquiries.

• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing customers.

• Reconcile credit card accounts regularly.

• Maintain office documents filed and organized.

• Set up Less than Load (LTL) and package shipments and prepare them for dispatch.

• Create spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.

• Handle customer service orders and enter customer details in QuickBooks and our CRM software.

• Work closely with vendors in reconciling AP accounts.

• Transition from QuickBooks to TruLinks software for accounting tasks.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in Billing and Invoice Processing.

• Proficient in Data Entry.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience working with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proactive in identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
