rPosition, Department: Non-Credit Continuing Ed Instructor- Nail Technician Instructor, Continuing Education & Workforce Development

Type of Position: Non-Credit Instructor

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Looking for both daytime (8-5) and evening (5:30-9:30) instructors, 20 - 40 hours per week hours per week

Pay Range: \$50-65/hr and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Support JCCC Workforce Development and Continuing Education by providing classroom instruction to students and clinical practice in manicuring, nail building, and pedicuring. Prepare students to apply for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination.

Job Duties

-Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to students

-Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom activities

-Develop and prepare supplement materials to enhance textbook lessons

-Evaluate student performance

-Maintain accurate and timely records of performance

-Maintain and submit all required paperwork

-Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures related to the required teaching area and in accordance with policies and guidelines

-Stay aware of new developments with the exams and preparation

-Maintain professional integrity and a strong commitment to continuing education

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current and valid Cosmetology Teacher\'s License or Nail Technician Teacher\'s License
• Minimum 2 years of nail technician experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate\'s degree
• Prior teaching experience
• 4 years of nail technician experience
• Bilingual
